The purpose of the Young Professional in Training Programme is to develop a pipeline for key roles within Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) through a structured 24-month training programme. The programme seeks to place Young Professional in specific areas within TPT according to their academic background, career aspirations and business requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Saldanha

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Industrial Engineering – incumbent to be based at TPT Saldanha Terminal

Durban

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Human Resource Management or Social Science or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Richards Bay.
• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Logistics Management or Operations Management related or related- incumbent to be based at TPT Richards Bay

East London

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Human Resources Management or related- incumbent to be based at TPT East London Terminal

Durban

• National Diploma or NQF level 6 equivalent in Health, Safety, Environment or related – incumbent to be based at TPT BBC, TPT Pier 2 Terminals
• National Diploma or NQF level 6 equivalent in Accounting / Management accounting or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Pier 2 Terminal
• National Diploma or NQF level 6 equivalent in Supply Chain / Logistics /  Operations Management and Transport Management – incumbent to be based at TPT Pier 2 Terminal or Completed Degree in the following:

• Diploma & Degree HR, ER or Education and Training – based in Port of Cape Town

Gqeberha

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Electrical Engineering – incumbent to be based at TPT Port Elizabeth

Lohatla

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Human Resource Management or Social Science or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Lohathla Terminal
• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Human Resource Information Systems  /  Information Technology or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Lohathla Terminal.

Ngqurha

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Supply Chain Managements / Logistics or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Port of Ngqura
• Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Industrial engineering or related – incumbent to be based at TPT Port of Ngqura

Position outputs: Follow a structure training programme

• Undergo performance reviews and assessments every 6 (six) months.
• Submit monthly reports.
• Perform all duties as contained in his / her development programme, as well as which he / she may reasonably be required to perform by Transnet Port Terminals.
