Establishment of Small, Medium & Micro-Sized Enterprises: SMMEs SA

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is inviting applications for the Establishment of Small, Medium and Micro-Sized Enterprises (SMMEs) in South Africa. Almost 100 Enterprises will get special training through the SMMEs 2014 to establish their businesses. It is a call or Invitation for Applications for Establishing Small, Medium and Miro Size Enterprises.

SMMEs in South Africa: Invitation for Applications

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is funding the establishment, including the relevant training, of one hundred (100) Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) across the country by Nomaku Trading. The year-long project entails business registration, training in new venture creation, training in assessment and moderation, accreditation support, and support towards business procurement. Each SMME will consist of three (3) people, the main shareholder of which will be appointed through this invitation for applications.

Applications are therefore invited from individuals, especially women and people with disability, who would like to be main shareholders in SMMEs established with financial, training and other support from the CETA.

Each applicant must, at the very least, fulfil the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen or legal resident
  • Hold a Matric certificate or a recognised full trade qualification
  • Have at least five (5) years’ work experience
  • CETA-related qualifications or knowledge of the construction industry may count in the applicant’s favour.

Each successful applicant will be expected to identify two (2) suitably-qualified people for the CETA’s approval for inclusion as shareholders in the SMMEs to be established.

  • Copies of Matric certificates and/or trade qualification
  • Letter/s testifying about work experience from current or previous employer/s

The closing date for applications is 20 September 2014. If you have applied during the initial advert period, you do not need to re-apply again.

If you do not hear from Nomaku Trading by the end of 20 September 2014 please consider your application unsuccessful as no correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful applicants.

Keep in mind the closing date of the Application and submit your documents at the earliest possible time. If you are willing to join the Training Programme i.e. Establishment of Small Medium and Micro Size Enterprises, then you should not waste your time here and there. You should join the Training Programme to get more better and valuable experience before starting a business.
